ダラムキャンパスでは、11月も忙しく過ぎていきます。まずは２グループに分かれてロンドンとパリへの研修旅行。パリではルーブル美術館を初めディズニーランドやベルサイユ宮殿などを訪ねました。ロンドンではお馴染みの大英博物館を初め数々の博物館・美術館を満喫し、シアターでミュージカル「Wicked！」を観劇しました。その後ダラムでは、海岸清掃のボランティア活動やエジンバラへのデイトリップなど充実した日々を過ごしています。

 November has continued to be a busy month in Durham with two field trips taking place. The students split into two groups and enjoyed field trips in both London and Paris. After travelling to London together, Michael and Junko took a group of 18 students to Paris on the Eurostar from St Pancras station whilst Helen and Jacob stayed in London with 12 students.

 Both groups enjoyed their respective trips with programmes full of a combination of organised and free time excursions and explorations!

 The Paris trip arrived on Monday evening in the city of lights and spent the following day exploring with their friends.

Wednesday saw a trip to Disneyland Paris with Michael or a train journey to the beautiful Palace of Versailles on the northwestern outskirts of Paris with Junko. The whole group visited the wonderful Louvre art museum on Thursday morning before spending their last free time hours buying souvenirs or visiting more of the wonderful sights of Paris.

 The London field trip included visits to the British Museum, the V and A museum and the Natural History Museum as well as a wonderful evening visit for all to the Apollo Victoria Theatre to see the Musical Wicked!

 Students had free time to visit some of the other wonderful sights in London and of course to enjoy the shopping and food options available in such a cosmopolitan city!

 On their return to Durham the students have continued with their studies and enjoyed local culture activities with Durham University. A small group of students took part in a volunteering opportunity with some Durham University students and staff and the charity “Seascape” cleaning Crimdon beach. They collected 18 bags of rubbish, which is wonderful!

 Helen and Junko took a group of students to Edinburgh. They had a wonderful time exploring the city and the Christmas market.
